Thank you so much for all the love since I shared the news of Buddy’s passing yesterday (09.01.26)💔 Buddy was simply the best boy and my constant shadow for 11.5 years. He was my joy, and we were so incredibly blessed to have him. He had a few health issues over the years, from a very sensitive gut to arthritis, but he always took it in his stride. When he started coughing on Christmas morning, we feared it was his heart. Sadly, scans later revealed a large tumour in his right lung, and his decline was swift. We gave him the very best final day — filled with cuddles, kindness, and more treats than he ever thought possible. @quiltersabbeyveterinary Quilters Abbey Vets came to our home, and I was able to hold him in my arms for his final moments. There are a few very special people I want to thank: Elaine at @glamdogshydro, whose hydrotherapy kept Buddy comfortable and mobile for so long — we truly wouldn’t have had those extra good years without her. Sandra @petbandbtralee who always groomed him with such care, patience, and compassion. ‘Dr Jenny’ @jen.sher , formerly of Quilters, who looked after both Buddy and me so wonderfully over many years. And @amanda.tarrant at weardrobe, who welcomed Buddy to work with us — taking her “Budsy Boo” for regular sniffing strolls and loving him as one of her own. Our house feels hollow today. Losing a pet, as so many of you know, is bloody awful 💔. I’m relieved he’s no longer in pain, but devastated to lose him — the sweetest boy 🐾.
